ASL in Rome: the 6 local health authorities.
To register with the National Health Service (SSN), choose or change your family doctor, get exemptions and book appointments, you go to the ASL that covers the district or town where you are resident.

How to find your ASL
Your ASL is the one covering the town or district where you are resident. Within the city of Rome the boundaries follow groups of Municipi: Roma 1 covers Municipi I (historic centre), II, XIII and XIV (Aurelio); Roma 2 covers III, IV and V (east); Roma 3 covers IX, X, XI and XII (south-west and Ostia). ASL 4, 5 and 6 serve the towns of the metropolitan area outside the city of Rome.
