About us

A practical guide to Rome, written with care.

RomaFacile is a collection of guides covering bureaucracy, healthcare, work, home, school, transport, business and benefits in Rome. Designed for people who want concrete answers, not more links.

Why it exists

Italian procedures are full of forms, acronyms and links that often lead to more links. For people who have recently arrived in Rome, or who need to do something for the first time, figuring out what you actually need takes time. RomaFacile tries to cut through the unnecessary steps and say in plain terms: what to do, where to go, how much it costs, how long it takes, and what mistakes to avoid.

How we write

Every guide is based on an internal brief that cites official sources: Agenzia delle Entrate, INPS, INAIL, Roma Capitale, ASL Lazio, Ministry of the Interior, State Police, Prefettura, Chamber of Commerce. We take the data and present it in plain language, making as few assumptions as possible.

Fixed editorial rules:

  • B1-level language, short sentences, no bureaucratic jargon.
  • Official sources only (.gov.it, public bodies, legislation).
  • Addresses and fees taken from public pages of official bodies.
  • No hidden advertising, no affiliate links.

What we are not

We are not a replacement for a lawyer, accountant, employment consultant or public office. The information published here is intended to help you find your way: for complex cases or specific situations, always consult a professional or a trusted patronato (ACLI, INCA, ITAL, CAF, UIL, etc.).

Updates

Regulations change. We periodically check official pages and update the guides. The publication and last-updated dates are shown on every article. If you find an error or outdated information, write to us via the contact page.
